FLY FISHING GUIDING & LESSONS
IN WESTERN CONNECTICUT
With nearly 40 stocked trout streams and an equal number of smaller waters teeming with wild Brown Trout and native Brook Trout, Western Connecticut has an incredible range of waters to explore. Coupled with hundreds of miles of coastline offering access to saltwater species like Striped Bass and Bluefish as well as opportunities to chase Smallmouth Bass, Carp, Pike and other gamefish in warm-water environments, there’s always somewhere to go seek angling adventure and learn new locations and skills.
Fly Fishing Connecticut’s services are designed to help you discover these great waters - large and small - and build the skills and knowledge you need to be successful on your own for decades to come. Our guiding philosophy is simple: Your limited time on the water is precious and it's up to us to ensure our day together meets your goals and expectations.
Before every outing, we work to fully understand your skill level, interests and what you hope to accomplish during the day. You set the agenda, you determine the details. We provide the skills, knowledge and expertise. Whether your focus is on catching fish, improving techniques and skills, or discovering new places to go fishing, we are committed to making sure your outing or lesson is special, unique and designed entirely around your needs.
Waters We Fish
With decades of experience fishing and guiding our local waters, Jeff Yates knows these waters like the back of his hand - he quite literally “wrote the book” on Fly Fishing Fairfield County - and can take you to any stream in Fairfield or Litchfield County for a successful day of fishing - no matter what your goals or what time of year.
